April 26 – April 27
It is our great privilege to bring to you the annual Devoted Hearts Conference on April 26-27, 2024. Every year, God faithfully orchestrates all the details of this conference, and draws each of you here. As always, it is our commitment to bring to you a quality conference full of practical Bible teaching and powerful worship.
Hope…it is something we all need and desire. In the English language, when we think of the word “hope”, it is usually in the sense “I don’t know what is going to happen, but I hope it happens”. However, this is definitely not the hope of the Christian faith. In 1 Peter 1:3, the apostle Peter speaks of a “living hope” that is given to us through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. This hope is not just a wishful thinking or a mere desire, but a confident expectation of the future that is based on the reality of Christ’s resurrection. This hope is not something that we can generate on our own, but it is a gift that is given to us by God through faith in Jesus Christ. It is a hope that is alive and active, and it gives us the assurance that we will inherit eternal life and glory with Christ.
It is this Living Hope that will be the central theme of our conference this year. Our speakers, Kelly Minter and Kristi McLelland, will help us learn more about the hope we have in Christ, and how that hope impacts our life both today and eternally. The Skit Guys, through drama, will also help us better understand this living and active hope. Our worship time, led by Dan Mansfield, will help us focus our hearts and minds on our Living Hope, Christ Jesus.
