Many years ago, we prayed for a kids pastor who would train and shepherd our most precious gift – our kids. God blessed us a thousand times over when he sent you and Karen to our church 9 years ago.
You truly have a heart for kids, teaching them how to have a relationship with God at their level. You keep things fun and yet you instill in our kids the eternal importance of being a Christian. You are not afraid to tackle tough social issues, always grounding our kids in what the Bible says and how relevant it is to their situations. You teach them to memorize God’s word with Scripture challenges and Life Truths, you creatively teach the Bible – not just the stories, but how to live a Christian life and the importance of prayer.
The impact you have left on kids and on the adults who are privileged to volunteer in your ministry is incredible. When God commands us to “lay up treasures in heaven,” that’s exactly what comes to mind when I think of your ministry. You are instilling a strong Biblical foundation in our kids.
Philippians 1:3-6 is all about you: “Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy…” You bring joy to every child that walks through the doors on Sundays & Wednesdays. Thank you seems so inadequate – we are eternally grateful to God for blessing us by sending you to our church.
