Pastor Sue Olson

Church: Long Lake Lutheran of Isanti, MN

Sue Olson has been like a ray of sunshine in the Isanti area, preaching, counseling, inspiring, and comforting not only the members of Long Lake Lutheran Church, but of the entire area. Her creativity, her inspiring ideas, her positivity, her love, and her ability to translate Christian principles into common sense programs and action has made our little church in the corn fields a beacon of hope and joy that sets our church and its programs apart from anything most of us have ever experienced and brought people of all ages into our fellowship. We, her parishioners, are inspired, grateful, and excited to go to work for Christ!!!

Pastor Sue Olson has the true heart of a faithful servant. It doesn’t matter who you are — rich or poor, young or old — she is there to minister to the needs of all. She has an exceptional ability to reach people at their level, and to walk beside them wherever they are on life’s journey. Pastor Sue is vibrantly alive with the love of Christ, and it is contagious!
I first met Pastor Sue when my dearest friend, Pat, was dying of cancer. Pastor Sue was Pat’s pastor and friend. Pat shared with me, numerous times, what a comfort and blessing Pastor Sue was for her. Pastor Sue was there to listen and comfort her, to reassure her, and to reinforce the promise of eternal life in Jesus.

Pastor Sue is a caring, thoughtful, fun, loving, outgoing all around perfect pastor. Sue keeps us and our community involved in our church. We always have the coffee on and treats to share.

Pastor Sue not only ministers to our congregation, but she also reaches out to our community, and anyone that is hurting or has a need, whether physical or spiritual. Our church has a food pantry that serves the local area, and Pastor Sue diligently maintains the supply and seeks out the people using it to have a conversation about their lives and their needs. She is truly the hands and feet of Jesus, doing the work of Christ to love and serve, and help and heal the broken, hurting, and hopeless.
I want Pastor Sue to know that she is deeply loved and appreciated at our church, and in our community of Isanti, MN and the surrounding area. I believe she absolutely deserves recognition for her hard work and sacrifices, and tickets to a MN Vikings game is something she’d really enjoy! Thank you, Pastor Sue Olson of Long Lake Lutheran Church. You are a blessing to us, and a loyal disciple of Christ.

Pastor Sue always welcomes everyone with a big smile. She brings in lots of activities for all ages and laughter. She leads the Grief Share and Bible study groups and is very compassionate.

Susan Olson has so much love for Jesus such as she makes our church seem like a family. Also, she always has time to speak or meet with us at any given time.  I feel like I have my person on speed dial, and she picks me up and dusts me off. Pastor finds ways to include all ages and makes everyone feel comfortable.  The children are made to feel so much love.  Pastor Sue has a vision of growth and reaches out to our community.  She never lets a person sit alone and encourages all to reach out to new people. I really enjoy her children’s portion of the service.  Pastor will cook meals and potlucks often so that our church is remaining close knit. Our church is a small church but there are so many programs and opportunities for everyone.
