Church: Oakwood Community Church
Jon Tolly is a fantastic pastor who really cares for our congregation, which has grown by leaps and bounds since he became our lead pastor. One of the things I really enjoy about Jon is that he always uses the Bible as his basis for the sermon. Jesus is the center of all his messages. In addition, he uses a lot of stories for examples, and he uses them well. Jon also takes communion seriously and helps us to see how important it is for us to celebrate together. Maybe most importantly, Jon is humble and never acts as if he has it figured out. Our faith is a journey by imperfect people toward a loving perfect God. I think that Jon does a really great job of helping us on our journey.
