September 20 @ 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
We are so excited to announce our upcoming Alzheimer’s Awareness Pet Walk on Saturday, September 20th from 1–4pm! We will be hosting our event in the parking lot of Personal Care Senior Living at 3850 Jefferson St. NE, Columbia Heights. Planning this event has been such a joy, and we can’t wait to see families, friends, and of course their furry companions joining us for a meaningful afternoon of fun and community.
The highlight of the day will be our one-mile pet walk (registration begins at 1pm, walk starts at 2pm) in support of the Alzheimer’s Association and the life enrichment programs here at Personal Care! We kindly ask for a free-will donation to participate in the walk, with all proceeds directly supporting these important programs. Wear purple, and dress your furry friend up in costume for the chance to win the “Most Pup-ular Costume” award! But that’s just the beginning!
We’ll have delicious food trucks including Twin Cities Tacos and The Philly Station, live musical performances by the talented young adults of School of Rock, a lively silent auction, and visits from wonderful partners like The Rescue Crew animal rescue and Treat Me Too Dog Treats, who will be hosting a pet treat booth. To sweeten the day even more, we will be having our own bake sale with sweet treats made and donated by families here at Personal Care! You’ll also find information and support from our friends at Hospice of the Midwest and Moments Hospice. Families, friends, and community members are warmly encouraged to come, bring your pets, and spend the afternoon celebrating together for an important cause.
