Dear Pastor Stan,
Over the 13+ years of attending First Baptist I have really learned what being the hands and feet of Jesus really looks like. You have taught our church well in this, and you were the first person to show love and care towards us when we hadn't even been going to First Baptist that long. We were going through a dangerous pregnancy loss in the midst of needing to find a new place to live, and you came to check on us and brought us a meal. That was 13 years ago now, and I still think back on how impactful that was for us. Now over the last few years I have seen our church grow, and that is of course mainly due to God, but also largely due to those leading us. Your continued passion to show the truth without fear stands out. I think it would be easy to become "big headed" when one sees the church they are leading growing leaps and bounds, but you have stayed humbled and focused on making sure you continue to share the truth and do as God has called you to do. You are a true leader and are appreciated more than you will ever know.
