Alpha Women’s Center is the June Ministry of the Month
Precious, a divorced mom of three who never wanted to be a single mom, thought she “did everything right.” But when her husband fathered a child in an affair several years ago, they divorced. As a Christian, she forgave him and even helped raise the child because it is her older children’s sibling.
When she unexpectedly found herself pregnant, she was afraid of parenting alone and listened to voices around her telling her to have an abortion. She made an appointment at an abortion clinic, and on her way, she prayed that if she wasn’t supposed to go through with it, that God would send her a sign.
When she arrived, she sat in her car wrestling with her thoughts, and that’s when she saw the Alpha Women’s Center mobile clinic. A beacon of hope, the mobile clinic staff offered her the help and hope she was praying for. At the mobile clinic, she saw her baby on ultrasound, talked through her fears, and found encouragement, support, and love.
She decided to keep the baby and now says she thanks the Lord for her thriving pregnancy, a baby boy due in July. She said, “My life was changed. I know God had you there at that specific time, for that specific purpose, as an answer to my specific prayers.”
