Stephen shares: “My mom laid down her life for me. She sacrificed everything but the breath of life for me. She gave it all everything away for me. She had me when she was 20 years old and it was 1970 in a redneck hick-town. Her boyfriend wouldn’t marry her under the condition that he quit drinking. Now she’s doing it again for her mentally disabled cousin Neil. My mom is in her seventies and she’s laying down her life again to care full time for her cousin in her home and she can barely walk and barely take care of herself. She’s a days drive north on the Canadian border. Her selfless decisions scare me half to death. She takes on so much more than she can handle. I pray every day for her and everyone but the Lord has better plans than I do- I don’t doubt the Lord. But I’m concerned that my mom may doubt. My mom is a true hero though out her difficult life. I could right a novel just on her hardships. We should not compare -every mom is a true hero. Thank the Lord our God for each and every Mom.”
