Hallelujah Feeling

Caleb & John

Michiko

Ken shares: “My mom left everything she cherished in Japan—family, friends, a career as a nurse at an orphanage—to bridge hearts between Japan and America in the wake of WWII to do her small part for world peace (yes, she really believed in this mission, hence leaving her old self behind). In essentially the middle of nowhere, she raised five kids with a house SO FULL of authentic true love, we didn’t realize (nor care) we were raised in poverty.
Though it was financially unthinkable, she somehow put all five of us through private Catholic school from pre-K to 12. She also loved us each so uniquely, so completely. Only now, as a parent myself, do I grasp the impossible magic she pulled off and her unrelenting commitment to God and her family every single day.
She faced storms with grace, built us a path through chaos, and raised five college grads who are bonded for life.
Mom, you are our peace, our strength, our miracle. Thank you.”
