Mackenzie shares: “My mom is a mother of 4. I am the youngest and the only girl. She has been my hero since I learned what that word meant. She had my oldest brother at 16 but she didn't let that hinder her education. She went on to get a degree in early child care. I, myself, have been struggling with severe depression for the past 6 years and can't even fathom going to college myself let alone with a child to take care of. But, my brother turned out amazing and is now married and raising his own son in Christ. Through out my life she has always encouraged me to go God with my problems. If it weren't for her I wouldn't know Christ and my life would be so incredibly different. In the past, the enemy has really gotten to me and I have tried to take my own life. I know that I hurt my mom when I did that, but she has never given up on me. I wouldn't be on this earth if it weren't for her. I am forever grateful that God gave me her as mom.”
