Karissa shares: “My mom, Dee, has been our families faithful prayer warrior our entire life. She has always shared how important prayer has been to her and my dad and how all of the decisions, big and small, they'd bring to the Lord first. On October 3, 2023, my dad passed away unexpectedly at the age of 64 while they were vacationing in Arizona. The car he was driving miraculously slowed to a stop as he was entering the gates of heaven, keeping my mom safe in the passenger seat.
Needless to say, the last year and a half has been extremely difficult without him by her side, but my mom has remained the faithful prayer warrior she has always been. She doesn't sleep well, so she prays. She wakes up each day and does her morning devotions, and prays. She mows the lawn, and prays. She continues to take her every need before the Lord for His help and strength to carry on in life through the unimaginable loss. She has instilled her faith into me, our family, and everyone around her and I could not be more thankful for this.”
