Rhoda’s story

I was first introduced to KTIS during the summer of ’81 on the way to summer work with my dad who had KTIS playing on every morning commute. The tune, “This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it” still remains a fond memory of my dad commuting to work from the western suburbs to Mpls.

As an adult, I came back to somewhat regular listening especially while riding a bike trainer in my basement during some very difficult and blessed days; it has been my prayer, pedal and praise time. The number of times that a song or words spoken have been just what I needed to hear in that moment has been both healing and inspiring in so many ways. I have appreciated guest speakers, callers’ testimonies and the music of so many artists, especially For King and Country, Danny Gokey, and Mandisa among many others. Thank you, KTIS for all the “God hugs”, community fellowship and music over the airways that will only be surpassed in Heaven.
