David Hibbison – Change of Heart

We purchased our first house in July, I quickly got to know my neighbors as I love to feel a sense of community and we are outside often! I met his sweet wife Roberta already but didn’t meet Pastor David until Halloween last year. Shortly after my cat got out and he’s never been outside before as we lived in an apartment before so I was distressed and looking and he came right out with flash lights helping me look each day until we found him he drove around the neighborhood helping look and checking in with me. We have been searching for a new home for 5 months at this point and have had several conversations about this. It wasn’t until one day he was in my entry way and I told him what I was looking for in a church, he told me he was a pastor! I was like David! You never told me! lol. He invited me to his church services and instantly it was the church for my boyfriend and I. We have been attending for a year now and my fiance is now 13 months sober. The longest stretch of sobriety he’s ever experienced since childhood. In Change of Heart we found that community we needed. The smaller churches feel like family. Each and every member of our church are complete blessings in our lives. His good friend Larry is a pastor as well and holds meetings every Saturday. I believe God had brought us the most wonderful house for us, an incredible neighborhood and now a Pastor in our lives who go is always willing to help at any little road bump in our lives. He does phenomenal at teaching Gods word. He has helped us so much over the past year to answering a call and coming to our rescue when on the side of the road to now doing our premarital counseling and going to travel to marry us this coming May.
