Tara shares: “Just trying to pick one thing to write about is so hard. Thinking of all she’s done for me, I’ve already got tears streaming down my face. My Mom is the most giving person I know. She has always taken care of me no matter what the circumstance. I’ve made many mistakes and my Mother has loved me through it all. A little over 2 years ago I had let my drinking get so bad I ended up in the hospital for what would be 4 total stays. I was in liver failure, among other things. My body close to shut down. I could barely do anything on my own for quite some time. My Mom took care of me during recovery. She had to help me towel off after a shower, she’s had to put my feet up each an every night on a special pillow she bought for me because I was still so swollen and in so much pain. I had neuropathy in my toes and she would make sure the blanket wouldn’t rest on them and be in more pain. She made sure I was getting all the nutrition I needed to help my body recover. I was starting over and she was there for every step of the way. This is just ONE of the times she’s been there for me in every way. I would not be where I am without her love and support. More than 2 years sober and I’m so grateful I had/have my Mom. She is always giving to me, I hope that this is something I can “give” to her. Happy Mother’s Day Mom, I love you.”
