Kathy shares: My mom has such a heart to help and pray for broken people. She has often been the one called to care for our aunt’s kids when their mom went to detox. She took in my other aunt after she was in a psych-ward. She is devoted to her friend’s and her sister’s needs—always serving and fervently praying. Her devotion to God and His mission has been a light and inspiration for so many. On top of her kindness and help for the needy and broken, she is a devoted mother of twelve (we have lost two siblings) and grandma (37) and great grandma (28) who are blessed by her love and prayers. Mom worked hard to keep us fed through gardening and preserving food all summer, cooking and baking and hauling us to wherever we needed to go—while also helping dad on our farm. I love my mom and am honored and blessed to have her friendship and her example of faithfully walking with Jesus.
